Uncomfortably Dark Horror-One shiver at a time.

I am a Pennsylvania-based author with a passion for the written word. I fell in love with reading at a very young age and became a huge horror fan by the time I was twelve. I began writing poetry and had written dozens of poems and short stories by the time I graduated high school. I have submitted several poems to various contests and publications over the years and have won several editor’s choice awards and honorable mentions but alas, life got in the way and I began a career in the insurance industry and spent twenty years working and raising my children. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors and I own a large collection of his books, all in hardback. Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson heavily influenced my poetry and still holds sway over some of my current writing style. Some of my other favorite authors include Dean Koontz, Blake Crouch, Iain Rob Wright, Frazer Lee, Mark Shaw, Jeff Strand and Bentley Little. One of my favorite things to do is listen to Horror Podcasts while I work during the day. My favorite ones are the “No Sleep podcast”, “Creepy” with Jon Grilz and “Knifepoint Horror” with Soren Narnia. All of them are great to listen to and full of talented actors and authors. My inner voice to be an author finally would not be silenced and here I am with “Breach” as my first full- length novel. I am currently working on another novel to be released next summer. I welcome all feedback and try to answer all correspondence as time allows. I love to see reviews of all kinds as each one offers an opportunity to learn and to expand my craft. Thank you for viewing my page and following me on this new journey.Check out my website and blog at www.uncomfortablydark.com
