Elizabeth Ann writes historical, faith-based fiction, relating mid-nineteenth-century stories of gripping adventure, in which east meets west with hints of romance. She developed a love for the Far East, a source for most of her stories’ unusual settings, when she lived in Japan teaching English. She also met her missionary husband in Japan, and they were married in a bilingual ceremony in Tokyo.
After returning to the United States, she spent many years building relationships with her international students at a Christian university in Dallas. She directed the school’s Intensive English Program and led summer English camps overseas. Following that, she continued as an adjunct instructor at the university for another thirteen years.
Elizabeth Ann’s debut trilogy features a bold New Yorker and the enchanting, feisty daughter of a samurai. Recognition for the trilogy’s stories includes an ACFW Genesis award and ACFW Virginia Crown award, a five-star designation from Reader’s Favorite, and finalist status in the International Book Awards.
One of Elizabeth Ann’s greatest delights is spending time with her family, including playing card games with her three grandsons. She recently moved from Texas to Colorado to be closer to her grown children and now especially relishes the mountains’ majesty, the Christmas-tree firs, the golden aspen, and the season’s first snowfall—while inside a cozy home.
