Genna Rowbotham

Genna Rowbotham was born in Sheffield where she grew up with her parents, two older sisters, and their beloved family dog, Henry.

Genna has had lots of jobs – mainly in the secretarial field but she remembers when she acquired her first Saturday job… She and her dad were visiting a café stall in Sheffield to find out the owner was desperate for a pot washer. Loving the idea of earning her first wage, she volunteered, and Dad left without her.

Having always loved the world of books in 2017 Genna took the plunge and wrote her first children’s story, fitting it in around caring for her young family. She is now the author of seven children’s books and enjoys the entire creation process from beginning to end.

Genna’s passions include reading, writing, travelling, astrology, spending time with her family and exploring the great outdoors.

She lives with her lively, imaginative family in Derbyshire in a house full of books, magazines as well as colourful drawings and all sorts of artwork from her children (empty cereal boxes are often taken from the recycle bin to reinvent something wonderful like a spy camera or a telescope).
