I’m originally from Illinois and now call South Dakota home, but snowbird south in the winter to Arizona. I love my Icelandic heritage and connection. In addition to writing, I love Scandinavian festivals, cooking, photography, travel, and exploring the outdoors.

My newest book is a motivational work called “On with the Butter! Spread More Living onto Everyday Life.” I’m excited to introduce this new non-fiction work, filled with encouragement and ideas to add more vitality and activity into your day. This book grew from another project I worked on with my mom, documenting her 93 new experiences between her 93rd and 94th birthdays – to show it’s never to late for something new. I started my writing career with children’s fiction, drawing on the Icelandic folklore of my heritage. My passion and a common theme in my writing is my Icelandic heritage. I started with children’s books and folklore, and enjoy adding a little taste of Iceland in my contemporary novels.
