Survive-Revive-Thrive is a movement started by Jo, a survivor of two cancers, the traumatic pregnancy and births of her two children, debilitating migraines, financial crisis, two divorces, emotional abuse and PTSD. Through these difficult experiences, Jo has found the secrets to surviving trauma. She has developed strategies that revived her from that place of hopelessness and despair. Now Jo is thriving, living her life with purpose, determined to share all that she has learned. Together with others who have found a path through their trauma, Jo invites you to join in, sharing each other’s stories and discovering new ways to survive, revive and thrive!AuthorJo’s love for writing led her to achieve a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) degree at UTS, majoring in journalism and public relations. In her 35-year corporate career, Jo held positions in marketing, PR, event management and promotions for companies including Fairfax Newspaper Group, Grace Bros, Birkenhead Shopping Centre and the Powerhouse Museum. She has particular skills in writing, event management, mentoring and coaching, interviewing and researching.As a result of her personal experiences, Jo has completed a Diploma of Counselling and is committed to helping people transform their lives. She is a researcher and author of books about the impact of trauma with a focus on how to move forward Jo has published both fiction and non-fiction books, including the Survive, Revive, Thrive Series.SpeakerJo speaks to all types of audiences, sharing her own journey and the lessons learned on how to live your best life. Jo shares her lived experience and research findings to audiences across the globe. We all experience life challenges at some stage, whether it be physical, mental, emotional or all of the above. Jo’s message is both inspiring and practical, offering real strategies to help people move successfully through any type of crisis. Her down-to-earth approach and ability to connect with people in a meaningful way has enabled Jo to facilitate positive change in groups as diverse as corporate conferences, wellness seminars, support groups and community events.AmbassadorJo has been honoured to be Ambassador of the Cancer Council Relay for Life, and the Leukaemia Foundation Angels at Work. She offers her time and effort to helping organisations in their efforts to make the journeys of those experiencing trauma, better.AdvocateJo shares her knowledge to assist the Health Department as a member of the Clinical Governance Council and the Partnering with Consumers committees, assisting with developing strategies to improve services.
