Liza grew up in Australia where she worked as a general nurse and a midwife. When she met her French husband on a Bangkok bus, she moved to France. She now works as a French-English medical translator, and as a novelist.After completing a creative writing course sixteen years ago, several of her short stories won awards, notably the Writers Bureau, 2004, and others have been published widely in anthologies and small press magazines. Her articles on French culture are published in international magazines such as France Magazine, France Today and The Good Life France.She is the author of the French historical The Bone Angel series. Three French village midwife-healers. Three stories spanning six hundred years. Three women linked by an ancient bone talisman and bonded by living through turbulent times –– the Black Death, the French Revolution, the WWII Nazi Occupation.The first in the series, Spirit of Lost Angels won the EFestival of Words 2013, Historical Fiction category.
