When she’s not writing, Marylee MacDonald can be found hiking in the red rocks of Sedona or walking along a trail overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Her fiction has won the Barry Hannah Prize, the Jeanne Leiby Chapbook Award, the American Literary Review Fiction Prize, and many others. The writers she loves include Alice Munro, Sigrid Undset, Toni Morrison, and Anton Chekhov. She has written five book, including Body Language, Bonds of Love and Blood, Montpelier Tomorrow, The Big Book of Small Presses and Independent Publishers, and Surrender, a memoir.
