Pia S. Newman writes urban fantasy and paranormal novels, though she likes to shake up that genre’s status quo of vampires and shapeshifters and demons. Nightmare City, her debut UF novel, was about people’s dreams coming alive – and the nightmares right along with them.Pia finds her inspiration in many things, but above all in traveling around the world as a digital nomad (when the world isn’t locked down). Her home base is in Stuttgart, Germany, where she also grew up. Besides traveling, she loves to go hiking and horseback riding, and is always on the lookout for the next best chocolate cake.She’s currently working on a three-book series about a rebellious human gladiatrix fighting for human equality in a world ruled by the paranormal and supernatural.
