Pleasant Fiction in an Age of Noise

I write peaceful stories with happy endings. When I started writing, I wanted to write the kind of books I like to read. I’m not decrying other books, because I’ve read and even reviewed some of them and I have great admiration for these authors’ talents. But I personally like lighthearted, fuzzy books even if they don’t address a lot of the issues in our world today. So when I set about defining my own books, I wanted them to be upbeat and friendly places that make you feel like you’re being whisked off on an adventure with friends. And there’s also a purposefulness in that because many stories already written miss out on a great deal of what people experience every day.Author BioAnd that just about covers my books. What about myself? Well, I am a country girl and am the fourth generation to live on our family farm in Texas. My home is on a rural road surrounded by cultivated fields that rapidly give way to wildflowers and wildlife and I can always be found scribbling away at a new project. I get most of my ideas while drifting innocuously around my house. And sometimes I exercise my beloved, blind Pomeranian, although Pom prefers to vegetate indoors. My books have had extensive work done since their original publication dates. These publication dates range from 3-12 years ago. Alterations to the books include professional edits, whole or partial rewrites, reorganization (this especially applies to the novella collections) and change of series labels. Because of this, reviews on retail sites and on book review sites like Goodreads dated prior to June 2019 may not be accurate. In fact, they may be drastically inaccurate. To be safe, consider reviews posted after June 2019 as more reliable when browsing on these sites.
