Sonya Lawson is a recovering academic currently writing fantasy, light and dark, in a variety of subgenres. Some might say she switches it up too much, but her stories have at least one common characteristic — sassy, intelligent, loyal women trying to do the best they can in whatever world they inhabit. While she remains a rural Kentuckian at heart, she currently lives in the Pacific Northwest where she fills her days with writing, editing, reading, walking old forests, and watching sitcoms or horror films.
