Taryn Blackthorne was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, where the winds are strong, rain is hard and the winters fierce. She learned how to read before she started school, and fell in love with stories of magic, mystery and good triumphing over evil. At school, she used her repertoire of tales to entertain, often making up stories where her friends were the heroes when everyone was stuck inside for recess.The turning point came in fifth grade. She was sent back to her desk to write instead of doing her math…because her teacher wanted to see what happened next. Since then, Taryn hasn’t stopped.
