The author has a way with words. In a few lines, I end up drawn into the story. I couldn’t put this one down. Granted, it’s a short story, but worth the hour or so read.Margaret wants to save her father. He’s in trouble and she can’t let him get in deeper. Lord Avery spots an intruder on his property and takes matters into his own hands. Their story is rather simple, but Admirand adds special twists to keep the tale fresh.It’s a sweet book and ends at just the right moment. I couldn’t ask for more–other than for the story to be longer so I can spend more time with these characters.originally posted at long and short reviews"
