Night Shadows

Clancy meets King in this full-length, mainstream quality thriller

“Fast moving, imaginative, and thought-provoking. Impossible to put down.”Tom is a brilliant artist during the day, a ruthless vigilante by night. When his mother dies, he decides to look into his birth, an action which highlights his presence to people who have been seeking him since his birth. Is he special, or an aberration? Tom needs to find the answers fast, before those seeking him destroy him. – “Night Shadows is a fine piece of commercial fiction. As a thriller or sci-fi novel, it almost transcends genre.”- “Reading this awesome book was like a breath of fresh air in a crowded marketplace! Far too many authors of science fiction today depend on special effects to hold the readers interest instead of depending upon solid writing to do the job. Chris is an exception to the rule, using skills as a first rate story teller to do the job.”- “Original, gripping, and powerfully written.”

"***** Chris Lewando ranks right up there with the Sci-Fi masters of bygone days! [Reviewed in the United States, 2020]. I received Night Shadows as an advanced reading copy. Once, science fiction was my genre of choice. I read all the greats: Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, Philip K. Dick, Arthur C. Clarke. I lost interest in the genre when good writing took second place to pyrotechnic displays and Star War gadgetry. It seems like most of the Sci-Fi novels that I have beta read have fallen in the same group, with Chris Lewando’s Night Shadows being the exception to the rule. Night Shadows captured and held my attention from the very first page, not because of any high-tech wizardry, but because of masterful writing skills. The characters he has created are real. The plot is so well crafted and woven that it comes across as something that could happen. Night Shadows will keep you turning the pages because it’s nonstop action from the very first page until the last page. Mostly it’s the action that could take place tomorrow in the real world. It doesn’t take any real stretch of the imagination to suspend disbelief and believe in the characters and what happens to them. The ending is both surprising and satisfying but leaves you wondering if there will be a follow up to Night Shadows."
