The ten sips within offer the chance to sample and savor, to peruse a book in a genre you don’t normally read. The first chapters or sections of a novel are included and “Dancing with Silandia”, a short story, is included in its entirety. A reader wrote to me shortly after reading Messing Up Magic and said, “I’ve never read a paranormal romance, never even considered one, but now I can’t wait to try another.”
These sips are in sections: Humorous Paranormal Fantasy (three books), Literary Fiction (one book and one short story), Paranormal/Sci-Fi Romance (three books), and Paranormal Romance (two books). If you’re intrigued, a buying link appears at the end of each one.
The world is busy, and free time, precious. If this compilation gives you joy and leaves you wanting more, then it was well worth putting together. As a young person, I loved books and read everything I could get my hands on, much to my mother’s consternation. A thirteen-year-old devouring a copy of Jacqueline Susann’s “Valley of the Dolls” was a dangerous awakening. We each sip stories; these are some of mine.
