K.C. Brennan is a former geologist, an avid reader of mystery novels, and a bit of a history junkie. From a young age, she was a huge fan of all things and writers of mystery, including, of course, Agatha Christie, MC Beaton, Dorothy Sayers, and the like. Her love of both history and mysteries has led her to start creating stories that she hopes will captivate and intrigue readers.

As well she wants to have stories with strong, intelligent women who are endlessly curious, determined, funny, and sometimes a little too interfering for their own good. Combine that with her love of quirky, honest, and humorous supporting characters and you have the basis of her Mila K. Mysteries series. Her love of her ancestral homeland of Ukraine has inspired her setting for the books and her love of all things Ukrainian dance has inspired one character’s background and is sure to come out in future stories.
