Patsy Trench turned to writing books lateish in life. To date she has written and published three books about the history of colonial Australia based on her family story, an anthology of short stories about love in adversity and four novels set in the recentish past featuring women who broke the mould. In an earlier life she was an actress in England and Australia, a scriptwriter, script editor and playscout, and co-founder of The Children’s Musical Theatre of London, creating devised musicals with primary school children. She has written one musical for growups and lyrics for cabaret. Covid permitting she teaches and lectures part-time on theatre to overseas students and organises theatre tours in London. She has an MA in Text & Performance from Birkbeck College and RADA. She lives inn London and she has two adult children and a relatively new grandson.
