Brighton-based author and artist, Veronica McGivney, spent her childhood on the Isle of Wight where her mother ran a Fawlty Towers-type guest house for holidaymakers during the summer months. After leaving the island for university in Exeter, she worked in London, France and Kenya before settling permanently in Brighton.She spent a number of years working in education but now concentrates on her first loves – writing fiction and painting.  Her books, published with Authors Reach Ltd, are written under the name V K McGivney to differentiate from her non-fiction publications.Veronica has published four novels and is currently finishing a fifth, and a collection of short stories. The novels include two psychological thrillers – Aftermath of a Murder and Aftermath of a Party, and the third in the series, Aftermath of an Affair is due out shortly.
